Member update February 2026

Disciplinary action was taken against Mr. James G. Porter, from Charleston, WV, by the IREM Ethics Inquiry Panel (“Inquiry Panel”). In accordance with IREM policies, the Inquiry Panel may suspend any IREM membership for cause if the member has been formally charged by legal authorities with having committed a criminal offense arising out of property management and/or related real estate activities. As such, Mr. Porter’s IREM membership and status as a CPM emeritus have been suspended, effective February 6, 2026, and until the legal matters have been resolved, and in accordance with the IREM Bylaws and policies. Suspension includes deprivation of all benefits, services, and incidents of membership during the period of suspension, except that the Respondent must keep current with national and chapter dues obligations.
